In light of the announcement about PlayStation Home‘s delay until next year, the guys at Pocket-lint decided to find out what Microsoft thinks about it. They caught John Rooke, Microsoft UK Marketing Manager for second and third party Xbox 360 games, at the Tokyo Game Show to catch a comment.

“I think Sony will struggle,” said Rooke. Microsoft doesn’t seem all that worried, if Rooke’s comment is anything to go by. Their own Xbox Live service is still flourishing with 7.1 million users and they don’t have any intention of stopping. “We hope to have 10 million users online by E3,” he stated.

When asked how the multiplayer service achieved such popularity, Rooke said:

Lots of people complained when we launched Xbox Live about our rigorous standards, but it has meant that now we can offer a complete service that works every time, for everyone.
