Microsoft, SCEA not attending E for All Expo
In its latest announcement, Microsoft said that it won’t be able to attend the inaugural E for All Expo to be held in Los Angeles come October 18 to 21.
Reasons for not attending were not made clear but industry insiders suspect that the proximity to the Tokyo Game Show could be a factor.
This narrows down the big firms attending to Nintendo, Konami, Electronic Arts, THQ, and Namco Bandai. Other publishers of similar stature have either hinted a “no” or are still deciding.
Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) had initially stated that it will not be able to make it to the expo, with negative indications also emanating from Midway, Sega, Capcom, and SOE.
The E for All Expo was heralded to be the spiritual successor to the E3 shows of the past which were more public-friendly than this year’s business and media summit. It will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center where game fans will be free to roam.
