Microsoft: Xbox 360 Twitter and Facebook apps out before Christmas as separate downloads

Those of you who are into social networking stuff may have been looking forward to the upcoming Twitter and Facebook apps for the Xbox 360. Here’s some good news for you then: Microsoft has revealed that you’ll be enjoying both apps before Christmas.

Those of you who are into social networking stuff may have been looking forward to the upcoming Twitter and Facebook apps for the Xbox 360. Here’s some good news for you then: Microsoft has revealed that you’ll be enjoying both apps before Christmas.

According to Microsoft’s James Halton, both apps are coming along fine and will be made available this fall. When asked to narrow it down further, all he said was that they will be released before Christmas.

Halton also explained that the Twitter and Facebook apps will launch as separate downloads instead of being part of another dashboard update. That last bit should somewhat serve to appease those who would rather not have these apps as part of their dashboards.
