Midway: Two shooters in the works

logoThis news comes to us from the creators of the Mortal Kombat franchise. In the latest edition of EGM, game developer Midway Games announced the development of two new shooter titles, one for the PS3, the Xbox 360, and (possibly) the PC.

For the PS3, they reiterated on the release of Blacksite: Area 51, which is a follow-up for their Area 51 FPS for the PS2, Xbox and PC. No further details on this title at the moment – and definitely no news if X-file’s David Duchovny is lending his voice role as he did in the previous title.

Alongside the re-announcement, they also laid out plans for a new IP. The Hour of Victory FPS, an Xbox 360 exclusive at the moment, will allows players to play through from the viewpoint of multiple sides, much like titles like Call of Duty. There is also a Midway Gamer’s day coming up, which should provide additional information on these two titles. Keep alert for updates.
