Mistwalker’s Lost Odyssey to feature 20 hours of cut scenes?
It was earlier reported that upcoming Xbox 360 RPG Lost Odyssey will be spanning around four DVDs and will take around 40 hours to finish. For a role-playing game from producer Hironobu Sakaguchi, this is something to be expected given his track record with the Final Fantasy series.
However, online site Xboxer is reporting that 50% of this (20 hours to be exact) will be comprised of in-game cut scenes. While we understand that it is highly pivotal for games of this nature to properly establish the setting and story, we are quite uncertain if all gamers are going to appreciate this.
Given a good cast for voice acting, 20 hours of sitting back and not actually playing Lost Odyssey still seems a bit long. We are still awaiting for an official confirmation from Mistwalker regarding the matter. Lost Odyssey is scheduled to ship in North America and Europe February next year.
