Monster Hunter 3 heading to the Wii
The Monster Hunter series is quite the big hit in Japan, and Capcom certainly picks up a lot of money from the overwhelming sales the series has over there. Now, it seems, the latest sequel for the game will be heading onto Nintendo’s Wii console.
Nintendo has just announced that Capcom will be developing the next iteration in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter 3, for the Wii. Apparently impressed by the wide user base of the Wii, the gaming giant has decided to bring out the game for a new audience. The series was previously seen on the PlayStation 2, with a “Portable” version of the series released on Sony‘s PlayStation Portable.
There’s no word yet on what the series will get in terms of gameplay upgrades when it makes its transition to the Wii, but if it includes using the Wii as a giant sword to hack dinosaurs into little pieces, we’re certainly in agreement: this game will be awesome.
