MTBS announces support for Stereo-3D convention
An advocacy group called Meant to be Seen (MTBS) has announced its support and sponsorship for a European event called the Dimension-3 Expo which is a showcase of different products that have anything to do with the new Stereoscopic 3D technology which can be used in games and films.
Dimension-3 General Manager Stephen Faudeurs says “Stereo 3D is HUGE in Europe. Dimension-3 Expo will be having special presentations and discussions about S-3D in video games, film, theme parks – we have a lot to cover.”
If you don’t have a clue about what S-3D, MTBS describes it as “media that displays images with true volumetric depth through the assistance of special screens, monitors, projectors, and glasses.” Unfortunately, no examples were given to highlight the technology.
Faudeurs further claims that everyone knows about their cause and they are ready to support gaming outfits who want to take advantage of their media enhancement techniques. The event earlier mentioned will be held in Espace des Arts, Chalon-sur-Saone, France on June 5th to 7th.
