Marlene from FFVII: Advent Children - Image 1After being available on DVD and UMD, the computer-animated film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children which won hearts of gamers and brought nostalgia to FFVII fans is finally making its way to Blu-ray. At the Tokyo Game Show 2007, not only did the movie make its appearance, but it also revealed new scenes exclusive to the HD format.

Bonus scenes aren’t enough to grab a copy of Advent Children again, you say? Well, you’ll be missing out, since there’s more to be excited about. According to Joystiq, the film will be completely re-rendered and for a good reason – wear and tear will now appear on clothes, especially to those who encounter tight situations.

The PR Square Enix sent around stated that clothes now gradually get dirty through intense combat, faces darken with soot from explosions, and motorbikes show damage from gunshots. As if FFVII:AC didn’t put enough detail in every strand of Tifa’s hair or Red XIII’s fur, it seems like realism will be taken to the next level in what’s already an epic film.
