Neo-GEO - Image 1Proving to everybody that he is back in the saddle again, NJ has also updated his SNK NeoGeo emulator for the PSP, MVPSP. It’s a good thing that he’s back in spite of the reports months back that he’s released the final versions of his emulators. Anyhow, his SNK NeoGeo emulator for the PSP, MVPSP, is now in v1.7.0, and we could only hope that the updates just pours in, just like old times. Here’s what NJ has to say about the release, courtesy of the not-so dependable Google translate.

Also the source code is attached. It is the finite difference for njemu_source_20061225.zip. After the superscribing, please compile.

1.7.0 (Development edition)

  • Although the texture format was modified in CLUT8, by the fact that the drawing processing of GU becomes complicated not seeing most effects. With the part game somewhat it becomes light, but it seems that is also the game where becomes conversely operation heavy.
  • As for most games it seems that speed stabilizes a little.
  • Attendant upon description above, renewing romcnv_mvs.exe. Version of cache file becomes ” V7 “. Reconstruction of cache file is necessary.
