Mythic Wars is now Fantasy Wars, new screens included

1C (same folks who brought us Inuyasha) has just released a batch of spanking new screens for their upcoming fantasy turn-based strategy game for the PC, Fantasy Wars. Yeah, yeah, we know they look an awful lot like Mythic Wars. And that’s precisely because the screens are from Mythic Wars, except that it’s now called Fantasy Wars.

Yep, they’ve decided to drop the name and change it to Fantasy Wars. For what reasons? We don’t know either. But as long as we’re assured that the game is looking this good, we really have no cause for complaints, do we now? So anyway, Ino-Co has been tasked to develop the game and there’s still no word on the release date. But what we do have are some of the features you can look forward to seeing:

  • Battlefields and surroundings in full 3D
  • Various tactical opportunities
  • Vivid characters which develop during the game
  • More than 70 units and 9 types of armies
  • Advanced army upgrade system
  • Original storyline
  • Multiplayer mode (LAN, Internet, Hotseat)
