Need For Speed: Carbon online features walkthrough vid

EA producer John Doyle gives us a walkthrough of the online features you could enjoy in the upcoming Need for Speed: Carbon.

This year, they’ve basically double the number of online features of the game. They’ve brought back “circuit” and “sprint,” they’ve added “speed trap online,” “canyon duel” (drifters rejoice – there really should be a Trueno in this incarnation), and the online mode they’re most proud of: “pursuit” mode. Pursuit mode basically allows players to be that annoying cop – drive around, hit people, cause racing mayhem, and unleash the inner bully.

If you’re particularly proud of your skills, they’ve added a “photo mode.” While racing you can automatically post screens of your slick moves at the NFS website. If you’re still in need of practice, they’ve got “shadow mode” for you where you can record your best times and best moves on track and race against them. You can download the track leader’s shadow and race against that. If you beat it, you’re the new track leader. Nifty, huh?

For more details on each mode click on play below, and let Mr. Doyle give you a nice play by play. Keep watch for the twist about turning players into cops. It gets pretty nifty towards the final laps. Enjoy!
