Neverwinter Nights 2: new downloadable content available soon
One of the biggest draws that Atari‘s Neverwinter Nights series was the amount of downloadable premium modules available for players to extend their fantasy RPG adventures past the core game. Following up after the recent release of the game’s expansion, Neverwinter Nights 2 is planning to launch its first Adventure Pack exclusively via digital download.
Developed by Ossian Studios, the upcoming Adventure Pack is titled Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate and covers over 15 hours of gameplay filled with a non-linear, open-ended campaign with numerous side quests. Ossian Studios was also the same developer who made the past Neverwinter Nights module, Darkness over Daggerford.
Mathias Hautefort, Executive Vice President of publishing and production of Atari, praised the hard work by both Obsidian and Ossian Studios, who both worked on the development of the game. He had this to say about the two developers:
Our successful work with independent developer Obsidian in creating the original game is now being enhanced by our collaborative efforts with these highly talented and emerging studios such as Ossian Studios, and the result is nothing less than the fans would expect of Neverwinter Nights: high production values, engrossing storylines, and long, involving campaigns.
Fans of Neverwinter Nights 2 can expect the Adventure Pack to hit the digital shelves this autumn.
