Since it turns out the console-specific features listed by EB Games in the up-and-coming game Spider-Man 3 (PS3, 360, Wii) were unofficial and unconfirmed, let’s just focus on the title itself. Treyarch‘s Executive Producer Chris Archer mentioned the last time around that the latest version of the game probably holds the record for the largest Manhattan setting in the franchise’s history.

Free-play mode in large New York setting. Imagine wearing the black suit and exploring the huge map doing, well, whatever you want to do. But since you have the dark suit on, why not suit yourself and perform dark deeds? After all, it is always more fun to be the bad guy.

The point is, the game has so much potential and Activision knows this very well. That is why it is really pushing the game.

Anyhow, it will still be months before the game comes out so we all have time to practice our much cherished web-slinging techniques.
