New Sonic and the Black Knight screenshots

Sega‘s released a bunch of new screenshots from Sonic and the Black Knight, a Wii-exclusive title where Sonic is thrust into the Arthurian legends. The game will feature a sword-fighting system using the Wii’s motion-sensing Wiimote. Check out the screenshots after the jump.

I still haven’t fully wrapped my head around the thought of a Sonic game where the iconic blue hedgehog wields Excalibur Calibur, but hey, whatever Sega. As long as it’s good.

Anyway, Sega’s released a bunch of new screenshots from Sonic and the Black Knight, a Wii-exclusive title where Sonic is thrust into the Arthurian legends. The game will feature a sword-fighting system using the Wii’s motion-sensing Wiimote.

Screenshots are below, and they certainly do look pretty. Sonic and the Black Knight is slated for a Spring 2009 release in Japan. North America is slated to get the game on March 2009.
