New Super Mario Bros. Released Today
New Super Mario Bros.
It has been 20 years since we were introduced to brothers Mario and Luigi. Today they’re back with the release of New Super Mario Bros. for NDS and NDS Lite. The title has finally been shipped and should be present at videostores in your ‘hood.
We join the brothers in their efforts to save Princess Peach from the hands of Bowser and Bowser Jr. Fight with old enemies like Goombas and Koopas, using a new power-up as shown in this video. Take Blue Shells and turn into a speedy blue Koopa shell that can wipe out all of your enemies in a flash.
In addition to the main game and the wireless two-player mode, players can also use the touch screen to play tons of mini-games (either by themselves or over DS Local Area Network with 1 to 4 players via DS Download Play). These include card games, targetbopping-type games and much more
Still using the classic 2D gameplay style that old timers have been used to, it’s been glammed up with 3D graphics for new generation Mario players. Whether you grew up with the Mario Bros. or just getting to know them, this game still delivers the same Mario fun and excitement. It just proves that a classic will never go out of style.
