Nintendo World Store Manager – Enough Wii Consoles for Walk-ins
Joystiq recently stopped by the Nintendo World Store and had the opportunity to ask the manager a few questions and to basically “chat” with the guy. If you are in the area of the NWS, and happen to have missed pre-ordering the unit, then Paul Gonzalez has said that there are enough Wii consoles for walk-ins! So, even though you do not have a pre-order, you may just be lucky enough to snatch one if you time yourself correctly.
Also, Gonzalez went on to discuss a few games, mainly Wii Sports and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Concerning Wii Sports, Gonzalez stated – “ItÂ’s the best way to explain the system. It is a great tutorial Â… I enjoyed the boxing, you got your rights and lefts in there, itÂ’s certainly a work out.” Then he went on to discuss Zelda, which has “a bit of a learning curve” like many others have stated after playing it on the Wii.
What surprised me the most, and something of which I haven’t thought of before was his statement on Wii Sports. He mentioned that it is a “great tutorial”. Was this Nintendo’s true intent on including this game; to allow gamers to adjust to the new controls and learn how easy and intuitive the control scheme is? All along I thought of it as a marketing-ploy to attract new gamers, but in the end – maybe it is just a simple tutorial game? Feel free to voice your opinions in our comments.
