No online play for Virtua Tennis 3?
So you’re a Virtua Tennis 3 fan. The minute you wake up, you immediately go online to search QJ for more info on this upcoming Sega game. After school, you head straight to your room to watch Wimbledon reruns. In fact, you’ve already placed your pre-orders for the PS3 eons ago, just so you can see Maria Sharapova in 1080p glory. Knowing that various features such as running shots, and drop shots will be added makes your heart leap with joy. And let’s not get started on the “Create-a-Player” mode. Yep, this game sure sounds like a lot fun. And when Mie Kumagi (yep, that’s the producer) promised that the game will be all about “Super Play with Simple Control” you just can’t help but get excited and look forward to its release.
Unfortunately, what we’re about to say next may be something that you’re not looking forward to at all. You see, a Finnish website reported that the PS3 version of Virtua Tennis 3 won’t have an online feature. Apparently, Sega producer Mie Kumagi said that Sony didn’t give the necessary info on the console’s online features, so they weren’t able to code the online mode.
HOWEVER, don’t lose heart yet, as this is just a rumor (or chalk it up to bad translation). As far as we know, this piece of info hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we’ll definitely let you know once we get wind on its validity. So regularly check QJ, alright?
