No rollback planned yet for AA xp exploiters

EverQuestAfter the whole AA experience exploit that recently plagued the world of EverQuest, people have been calling for some heads to roll, specifically the ones attached to the shoulders of those who participated in the exploit. This kind of reaction’s to be expected, really. Let’s say you’ve been grinding hard for days, trying to get precious AA experience, and then you catch wind of some guys who are just happily turning in bonechips for some way easy AA xp. That would get you seriously miffed too, wouldn’t it?

Well, it seems that judgement is finally coming for the wrongdoers. Rhagnell has posted on the EverQuest forums that while they are working on a solution to deal with those involved in the exploit, a rollback is not yet on the horizon. The good thing is that they are only going to focus on those who were involved, so those who didn’t jump onto the exploit bandwagon and earned their AA xp through honest grinding are safe from Sony‘s wrath.

While details on the solution have been scarce (read: zero), Rhagnell did mention that they will not be making public the identities of those who participated, saying that it’s just not the way the EverQuest team handles things. In our opinion, that’s more than what the exploiters – who by participating in the exploit effectively ruined the game for others – deserve.
