No sign of Final Fantasy XIII: Square Enix unveils game line-up for E3 2008
Square Enix has just released their planned game line-up for this year’s E3. While Final Fantasy XIII didn’t pop up anywhere in the list, Square’s PR indicates that the PSP’s two Star Ocean titles are due for an English port. Details are available in the full article.
It appears that Square Enix is not one to be outdone by Capcom‘s previously announced E3 lineup. The company has released their own press wire detailing their games that will be on display at the event, with Star Ocean titles in ample supply.
- PlayStation 3
- iPod
- Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes
- DS
- Chrono Trigger
- Dragon Quest: Chapter of the Chosen (PAL release: September 2008_
- Final Fantasy IV
- PSP
- Star Ocean: First Departure
- Star Ocean: The Second Evolution
- Xbox 360
- Infinite Undiscovery
- Star Ocean: The Last Hope
- The Last Remnant (available this winter for the Xbox 360)
Square further indicated that Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest, Infinite Undiscovery, and Song Summoner in particular will have their own playable kiosks. Topping this lineup is Taito Corporation, which plans to feature EXIT DS and The Legend of Kage 2 for the DS.
As some of the readers may have noticed, Final Fantasy XIII is nowhere in the list. This is a little strange given that a Square rep previously hinted that it’s expected to make an appearance at the upcoming expo. With just a few days to go, perhaps the best course of action is to wait and see.
On the positive side, it appears that Square has plans to port both First Departure and The Second Evolution into English after all. That’s all the information we’ve got for the moment – drop by again in case of any further updates.
