No way: PaRappa gone reggae?
The first PaRappa the Rapper was cool. As a matter of fact, it was one of the first PlayStation’s flagship titles. It was a lot of fun and appealed to everyone. You could say it was the party game before there was Dance Dance Revolution for the platform.
But like any rapper, one good hit doesn’t mean you can sell a lame second song. The PlayStation 2 saw PaRappa the Rapper choke and die, and that was just about it.
But like any good artist, PaRappa is trying it again with a comeback performance. Now he’s on the PlayStation Portable gig and the presentation seems cool. Visuals and sounds are well done, but we have just one gripe. They’re not rapping, that’s reggae! Was that Shaggy doing the “singing?” Oh, the brothers in the ‘hood won’t like this….
