NYC GameStop swarmed…but not by customers
When you hear that GameStop got swarmed, you’d think they broke the date on Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Xbox 360), but then again, that game barely has a date. Anyway, unfortunately for the GameStop outlet in the Union Square Park area, it wasn’t a swarm of customers looking to see if they’ve got inFamous, it was literally a swarm of bees that surely gave the Memorial Day Weekend quite a buzz.

Okay, so a swarm attack isn’t very funny. In fact, the bee infestation forced the GameStop employees to halt operations, shut the store down, and call for help. The bee scare continued for a few hours until the NYPD’s very own Bee Expert, Tony Planakis, arrived in the scene. “I’m probably gonna be relying on scent … the queen bee’s scent … it could take a half hour, an hour … two hours … I don’t know,” Planakis told ABC.
Good thing that no one was reported to be seriously stung by the swarm. As for the GameStop outlet, [insert bee pun that you definitely saw coming].
