Overline Gaming displays Wii arcade stick The Shaft at CES 2008
If you are fond of playing classic video game titles in your Nintendo Wii in the form of Virtual Console goodies, it is highly important that you have an arcade stick controller for the best possible retro gaming experience.
Overline Gaming, LLC., now has a booth at CES 2008 showcasing its peripheral, The Shaft. Despite being available for some time already, it is only now that the controller is gaining ground. More details after the jump!
We briefly talked about the third-party Nintendo Wii controller “The Shaft” from Overline Gaming, LLC. back in November. While the accessory has been available for a couple of weeks now, it is only recently that it is gaining attention.
If you want to join in on the attention bandwagon, it is currently being showcased by Overline Gaming at the Consumer Electronics Show. The Shaft is your typical arcade stick designed for use with Virtual Console titles.
It comes in three colors (arctic white, coral pink, and midnight black) and each can be had for US$ 39.95 as a pre-order. Overline Gaming provided these additional information about its product:
- The Shaft is Wired, in our experience, wireless controllers do not offer the response time required for fast-paced fighting games.
- We have tested The Shaft with games on all current VC Games. It works with Analog games like Mario Kart 64, and Digital games like Super SF2 Turbo
- The Shaft is an Arcade-Style Controller, so it is approximately 6 inches x 11 inches in width.
- We are committed to making the best joystick possible, the stick has a steel core for ultimate strength and a 10-Year Warranty.
The Shaft is compatible with GameCube Games as well as the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console.
