PAL PS3 dissected

We came across some photos of a PAL PlayStation 3 with its insides exposed. What we found was different from what we expected. The box was different as this version looked pretty chic in vanilla. However, there have been some significant changes in this PS3 compared to its NTSC counterpart.

One change is that there are no component cables, the HD connectivity on the box was absent and most notably, no HDMI. The changes may have been spurred by Sony‘s installation of other new hardware to optimize the next-gen gaming experience. Not to worry though, PAL PS3 owners can always shell out some extra dough to enjoy cutting-edge 480i graphics from their uber console.
