Are you the type the hates mainstream and always want to be different? Are you always looking for ways to go against the flow and create ripples of your own? Well, what we have here (Thanks for the tip Sousanator!) might be the very thing you’re looking for to break away from norm. We all know how the vehicles of Liberty City tend to look the same after a few rounds with Toni, so here’s something that’ll give the game a well-deserved pimpin’.

ADePSP has just released a PSP version of the popular tool for GTA: Liberty City Stories, Pimp My Garage. You’ll still get “to choose a vehicle from the game Liberty City Stories and change various attributes such as it’s colour, speed and general handling“, with a slight tweak – it’s now portable! As the creator puts it, “the difference between the website version and this version is that this version runs directly from your PSP so you can pimp out your cars on-the-go..

Before you go pimpin’, here’s a rundown of what you need to do. First of, you’ll need a 1.50 PSP running DeviceHook, CheatDevice by Edison Carter, a copy of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and this program. After you have all of that secured, wipe the sweat from your brows as this is about to get messy (just kidding). It’s actually quite simple to install:

1. Install the CheatDevice by Edison Carter.
2. Extract the  Pimp My Garage Portable folders (__SCE__pmg and %__SCE__pmg), copy it, and paste it to the game folder inside your PSPs memory stick (just like how you install most homebrew).
3. Launch GTA: Liberty City Stories via devhook. (You could get the latest version here, and a tutorial on how to use it here.)
4. You’re all set!

Here’s a list of the controls:
L & R Shoulder Buttons – Navigate through the settings screens
Left, Right, Up or Down – Navigate through the current screen settings
X – Change the selected setting
Hold X and (Left or Right) – Change the “Model” or selected “Scroller” setting
Hold SQUARE – Quick Help
START or SELECT – Open or Close the “Main Menu”

If you’re wondering on how to start tweaking those rides, ADePSP has included a detailed rundown of how you can modify every part of your vehicle – from the paint job, wheels, suspension, and overall handling – in the Readme file included in the download. What you’re waiting for? Break the norm and start pimpin’!
