Pinky:st Dolls Sparkle in the DS!

The Japanese have a fascination for the cute, the fashionable, and funky. The latest toy that is currently creating a ruckus among the Japanese is called Pinky:St., a doll franchise created by Vance and Baby Sue. These are cute little dolls with interchangeable parts. You can swap its hair, clothes, pants, and heads and create your very own Pinky:st doll as your own. The dolls have been in the industry for more than 3 years already, and now they have stirred up such a frenzy among the Japanese that they have given Pinky:st dolls a virtual world in the DS!

This is the Pinky:st Kira-Kira Music Hour, which translates as Pinky Street Sparkling Music Hour! This fun game features your favorite pinky:st dolls as they dance to different tunes. Using your touch pen, you just tap the stylus to rhythm of the sound and before you know it, you’ve cleared the stage! Your role in this game is a DJ wherein you spin different songs. You can start by yourself at first, but the better you play, you can bring out more of your favorite characters from the pinky:st franchise. The game will also feature live houses that you can visit so you can dance in those live houses and unlock more characters in the game.

Over 30 songs are available in this game, ranging from classical to hip-hop and to rock.  Also, you get to earn points which allows you to customize your Pinky:st doll (much like the real one). You can change her hair and clothes which you can show off to your friends once you play the game. No news yet whether this will utilize DS’ Wifi, however, it seems more than likely that it will especially since it’s bet on letting two girls dance at the same time. For fans of the doll franchise, they can get an actual Pinky:st doll if they buy the Limited edition of the game.
