Planetside now free – with restrictions

 As Sony announced a while back, they have finally activated the so-called Planetside “Reserves programme”, which was originally supposed to start on February 14th. People interested in PlanetSide can now download a 2GB demo client and play the game free of charge.

Of course, there’s a catch – actually two: For one, these free accounts will only be valid through a period of 12 months, after that you’ll have to pay. Additionally, players will only be able to advance to Battle Rank 6 (of a total of 8), restricting access to the best weapons and equipment to paid accounts.

Still, it’s a great way to test the game, so if you’re interested, just check Sony’s dedicated “Reserves programme” site right [here]:
