PlayStation Home now has 12 million users
PlayStation Home. Feels like it was only yesterday that it was practically empty, and the only ones who logged in either danced aimlessly all over the place, or danced purposively in front of female avatars. Well, all that still happens until now. What’s different this time is that the virtual world now has 12 million users.

The reason why we’re getting this little factoid is because Sony intends to make use of Home for a bigger gaming purpose in the future. At the GDC, Home director Jack Buser said that he had been inviting developers to turn Home from a 3D social network to a 3D gaming. platform.
What we can expect out of this is that games with Home integration will come around in the future – both the disc-based and PSN downloadable kinds. When that will be still remains to be seen, but it’s certainly an interesting prospect.
