Prince of Persia Classic (XBL): details and pricing
Another slice of gaming nostalgia will be making it to Xbox Live Arcade in the next few days, thanks to Ubisoft‘s plans to release Prince of Persia Classic for download. But unlike the titular prince in-game, the XBL re-release of Jordan Mechner’s 1989 PC title won’t be coming in unarmed.
The new release is expected to carry new traps and puzzles, and is also expected to host new animation and visuals to keep this classic game looking fresh. Here’s the full list of features for Prince of Persia:
- Enhanced character designs, animations and visuals
- New traps, puzzles and enemies to tackle further augment the classic experience
- 12 Achievements will be available – ranging from the simple (finding the sword in the first level) to the near impossible (finding all the potions in the game or finishing the game without dying)
- The title will feature 3 different leaderboards:
- Normal Mode: Complete the game as fast as possible, which saves at the end of each level
- Time Attack Mode: Complete the game as fast as possible – but be prepared to start from the beginning if you fail to save the Princess in under 60 minutes
- Survival Mode: Complete the entire game in under 60 minutes – without dying
Expect Prince of Persia Classic to be available for purchase via XBL this June 13, for a sum of 800 Microsoft Points.
