Pro Evolution Soccer 6 now works as advertised… thanks to 1.70
Konami announces that the PS2 Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will now play on the PlayStation 3, no hang-ups, no hitches, no “noticeable issues,” “fully compatible,” Eurogamer reports. Said “notable issues” were problems with online multiplayer being handled through the PS2 emulator software in European PS3s.
Firmware 1.70 was the patch that fixed this. Says Eurogamer, “Now you should be able to boot one another around over the Internet as well as offline, with ‘no known issues’ remaining to solve.” “No known issues” might mean that there may be something not yet seen – knock on wood, hope that doesn’t happen and everything’s fine.
