Thanks to the success of Einhander from back in the PlayStation years, Square Enix isn’t getting quite as many raised eyebrows now for its upcoming space shooter Project Sylpheed. With good visuals and sounds to match, it’s really hard to diss this promising prospect at this point. Check out the video and know everything in a nutshell through the narration:

This is one of the lengthier showcases of the title’s gameplay and it’s easy to see that this one really does belong to the next generation of gaming. From the effects to the voice acting, all is looking smooth and ready to rock.

Project Sylpheed is going out exclusively for the Microsoft Xbox 350 later this year. If you’re a big Descent and Wing Commander fan from the yesteryears, this is a title worth checking out in the very least.
