PS3: There’s plenty for everybody
Fans of Playstation 3 need not worry about not getting their itching hands on the next-gen console the moment it is released. In an official statement by its maker, Sony corrected the circulating rumors regarding its projected retail allocation for PS3.
According to the spokesperson of Sony Computer Entertainment America, “We are still on schedule to ship 2 million units for our mid-November 2006 launch and additional 2 million units by the end of the year for a total of 4 million units.”
Of course, such statements are encouraging. And fans can only keep their fingers crossed, as they hope the shortage that happened to last year’s launch of Microsoft‘s Xbox 360 will not happen to them.
