PS3 Weekend Warrior: obvious statements, cardboard head gear, hot and sizzling trailers
It’s been a big week for the PlayStation 3. The console has a new exclusive, tons of new videos on the PS Store (including Battlestar Galactica! I love you, Sony), and sweet upcoming costumes for LittleBigPlanet, including a Monkey King costume (I’m actually looking forward to that more than the Dragonball movie).

It’s been a big week for the PlayStation 3. The console has a new exclusive, tons of new videos on the PS Store (including Battlestar Galactica! I love you, Sony), and sweet upcoming costumes for LittleBigPlanet, including a Monkey King costume (I’m actually looking forward to that more than the Dragonball movie).

- Battlestar Galactica charges into the PlayStation Store. Link.
- Qore Episode 10 debuts on the PlayStation Store. Link.
- The PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament finally gets the Titan Pack. Kinda. Link.
- Metal Gear Online is now accepting pre-orders for the SCENE expansion. Pre-orders get the cardboard man head gear. Link.
Things to look forward to:
- New LittleBigPlanet game in the works. Link.
- And the LittleBigPlanet game we already have is getting new costumes, including Monkey King! Free publicity for Dragonball: Evolution? Link.
- Noby Noby Boy creator gets depressed that some people don’t like his game. But he’s still coming out with an update anyway. Good man. Link.
- BioShock 2 is definitely coming to the PlayStation 3. Whether it’s a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360 – again – is another matter. Link.
- Capcom reveals future DLC for Resident Evil 5, including Versus Mode (link) and unlockable costumes (link).
- The PS3 gets a potential new exclusive: Mars. Link.
Industry News:
- Sony states the obvious because some people are wondrously thick in the head: the PlayStation 3 will always have Blu-ray. Link.
- Microsoft just can’t help but antagonize the competition at every turn, saying that their doubtful that PSN really has the 20 million users that Sony claims. Link.
We also got two awesome new videos this week. One’s hot, and one’s sizzling. The first one is the annotated trailer of God of War III, revealing new details about the game (link). The second one is the new trailer for inFamous, which I am thoroughly impressed with (link).
