PSP Rhythm v7.0

PSP Rhythm v7.0

We haven’t heard much about PSP Rhythm lately, and for some time now, we thought they lost their beat. But if there’s one thing you should know about homebrew developers, it’s that even if they said they’d retire from the homebrew scene, they’d eventually come running back to it.

We were surprised today when we got trumpeted by another update: PSP Rhythm v7.0. The homebrew audio sequencer and re-mixer for the PSP is back. For those who need a bit of enlightenment on what this application does, it’s a music workstation that has features of playback and manipulation of samples, audio effects, and a song re-arranger. You’d be able to take some audio samples, do whatever you wish with them, and record your own songs.

Major Improvements for version 7.0:

  • Wave Table Synthesizer (with user defined oscillator)
  • Sample Volume Envelope
  • Improved Audio Engine
  • Song files have replaced bank files
  • Improved file user interface

Both of the archives below include some quick setup guides on how to install the homebrew, so make sure you check out the readme before anything else.
