PSP Seq v1.00 *UPDATED*
A little more than five months after Ethan Bordeaux released the PSPSeq v0.20, another full-blown update’s been released – PSP Seq v1.00. It’s now available for download for you guys who just want a “normal” step sequencer and synthesizer for your demos.
The previous version proved to be a piece of work. Let’s see what Ethan has got in store for us! He’s got the list of features neatly outlined here:
- editable parameters on instruments
- customizable instrument groupings
- multiple loops/song sequence
- tap tempo
- multiple audio presets, new generators/fx
- improvements and optimizations to many of the generators and fx
- configurable step length
- proper swing handling
Remember though that this ‘brew runs on all firmwares between 1.0 and 2.71, along with 2.71 SE. It won’t work with 2.80/2.81 and can’t be loaded via devhook or Hen-C. You can also find more info about the previous versions and the .rtf file included in the download.
UPDATE: We were informed by Ethan that he has released an updated version of his homebrew application, PSPSeq. Version 1.01 may just be a bug fix, but it did take care of three pesky bugs- “one with setting FREQMODE in some synthesizers, one with the loading custom presets, and one with the menu system.” Keep up the great job Ethan and we hope to hear from you again in the coming days!
