PSPDoom 3.xx (Phat/Slim) – fully compatible with latest 3.xx CFW

If you’re feeling down about not being able to play some of the more classic FPS homebrew games using the latest PlayStation Portable custom firmware, then don’t despair. Developer CoderX was recently able to release a new 3.xx patch, which revives one of the best old school shooters on the Sony handheld with PSPDoom. More details about PSPDoom in our full article.

One of the best old school shooters returns to the PlayStation Portable platform as developer CoderX recently released a new CFW 3.xx patch to the homebrew game PSPDoom.

Any FPS fan worth his salt will surely recognize this gory shooter which literally placed id Software on the face of gaming history. This handheld version of the game is based off pspdoom5+ and makes use of a patch, which makes it fully compatible with the new 3.xx PSP custom firmware.

PSPDoom includes binaries for both the 1.5 and 3.xx kernels, as well as the Doom1 Shareware Wad. The game has been tested on both the PSP Slim and the PSP Phat, and has been confirmed to work on CFW 3.90 M33.
