PSP-Maps v0.6 – new splash screen, new features
A new build is out for the homebrew program PSP-Maps, a map reader for the handheld that feeds directly from Google Maps. Aside from getting a brand new splash screen for the 2008 NEO Spring coding contest, the program has three additional updates which you can check out in the full article.

PSP Homebrew developer Royale has released a new build for the PSP-Maps application. If you aren’t familiar with PSP-Maps, it’s a map-reader that allows the Sony handheld to retrieve maps directly from Google Maps.
Aside from getting a brand new splash screen for the 2008 NEO Spring coding contest 2008, PSP-Maps also has three more improvements to the program. Here is the change log for PSP-Maps v0.6:
- added splash screen for the NEO Spring coding contest 2008
- added a progress bar when shrinking the cache
- added an image to help zoom in (show/hide with button O)
- updated the Makefile to remove old version number
