Q&A: Got Game reveals PSP project in the works
When we think the Got Game Entertainment group, the first inclination we may have is their roster of PC productions like Bad Mojo: Redux, or their upcoming title – Penumbra for the PC.
Sure, we like PC Gaming, and Got Game has been expanding further from the initial adventure genre but for the fans out there, there may be hints of a PSP title hitting the horizon soon.
Gamasutra chewed the yarn with Got Game’s Howard Horowitz, and aside from topics like Got Game’s initial focus of adventure games, and their ongoing genre expansions, they also discussed Horowitz’s views on the possible future releases.
With regards to the sort of sales that the company was gunning for, Howard was very confident in Got Game’s capability to go mainstream – a point he makes as two of their titles – Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle and Atlantis Quest – made it in the same page as World of Warcraft and and Scarface on Target’s Christmas catalog.
And moving on to what gamers can expect for the upcoming months, here was Horowitz’s heads-up:
Got Game Entertainment has a mixed genre of games for the first half of 2007. The official announcement will be coming soon with all the details, but I can announce we are releasing Scratches: Director’s Cut for PC in March, Penumbra: Overture in April, and we just signed a publishing deal for Sony‘s PSP platform for a mainstream game which will be announced shortly.
While there is no further on their planned project for the PSP, we look forward to seeing just what Got Game may have in store for Sony’s portable. For the full details of their past works – you might recognize them – click on the read link.
