QBX r15.07.2006: Temporary Version Released
This just in: Francois Pessaux (aka Didou) has updated his homebrew puzzle game QBX. QBX is a puzzle using 3D cubes which can be moved forward, backward, left and right and can be rotated around its three axes. The cubes don’t fall automatically but you have to manually manually make it fall.
To move the shapes and rotate the cubes, use keypads A, X, Y, B for up/down/left, respectively. Aside from the keypads, the cubes can also be manipulated using five buttons at the bottom of the screen. The buttons have the following functions (from left to right):
- Drop the shape
- Zoomer in
- Reset zoom
- Zoomer out
- Drop the shape (for lefties)
The latest update is known as QBX r15.07.2006 and Didou calls it a “temporary version”. He didn’t mention the changelog for this update. But he did say the QBX source code will be available soon.
