Quake Wii 20080602 – bug fixes since 20080601
Hiccups still barging into your Quake Wii frag sessions? You might not have to deal with most of them anymore. Homebrew developer Eluan has another update for Quake Wii that’s meant to mop those hitches away, but this one is specifically meant for those who’ve already tried Quake Wii 20080601. Get to the full story to find out why.

You’ve got better image quality at adequate framerates and Metroid Prime 3-like aiming to boot, but your Quake Wii fragging experience still occasionally sees a bug crop up. Quake Wii 20080602 was built to mow most of them down, but we’re not sure which ones it fixes. Is it the occasional controller reconnect lag? Or the bit with the net code implementation?
Whatever the case, homebrew coder Eluan recommends that you download this new build if and only if you experienced bugs in the previous build (Quake Wii 20080601) and hope to reduce their occurrence this time around. Of course, you’re free to update to Quake Wii 20080602, but as it’s a work in progress release, you must be aware that it’s still a build for testing purposes.
Also note that Quake Wii is available in two flavors: one that’s the original 0602 build, and another that has the net_init procedure deactivated on game boot. Author Eluan created the no net variant to allow those Wii consoles that cannot complete Quake Wii’s preload due to the network initialization error to fully boot.
