Rag Doll Kung Fu team Working On A PS3 Exclusive Title

Rag Doll Kung Fu

Media Molecule, the creator of Rag Doll Kung Fu for the PC, has signed a deal with Sony to work on an original and innovative game for the PS3. The reasonably-new company was founded only January of this year by gaming business veterans Alex Evans, Mark Healey, Dave Smith and Kareem Ettouney, all of which have great track records in the field of gaming. Although you might not have heard of them all due to the nature of the business, we’re sure that as soon as we mention popular titles such as Dungeon Keeper, Theme Park, Black & White, Live for Speed and Fable your memory will begin to recover.

The most recent game released by the team was the hit PC title Rag Doll Kung Fu, first third party title to be available through Steam, and went on to be nominated for two awards. Obviously this game impressed Sony Computer Entertainment so much that they negotiated a contract with the developers.

Mark Healey, Creative Director at Media Molecule said, “Working together on Rag Doll convinced us that a focused and efficient team had the ability to deliver exciting and innovative content. The ambition for Media Molecule is to take that a step further and prove that a small (20 plus) and passionate team can deliver a world class, triple A, next generation product. Sometimes the very unwieldiness of a massive team renders it much less efficient.”

At the moment no details on the title in question have been revealed, but could the above screenshot from the PC title Rag Doll Kung Fu give an insight into the new game? Don’t forget to check back for updates!
