Raiden IV details resurface: confirmed to come out in September for Japan
We’ve finally got fresh news on UFO Interactive’s Raiden IV port for the Xbox 360, and they come in two groups. There’s good news, and unfortunately, some not-so-good-let’s-see-if-it-turns-bad news. Good news: new information has finally resurfaced on this title, and it’s definitely arriving September this year. Not-so-good news: it’s arriving on September for Japan. No word yet on U.S. release or if it will ever happen. Read up at full article.
There was much buzz when Raiden IV for the Xbox 360 was revealed early last year, but it eventually died down because we didn’t hear anything on it anymore. Still, many fans of this arcade shooter kept their fingers crossed anxiously awaiting anymore details that might surface.
And now all those cramped, crossed fingers this past year is finally reaping the benefits as news once again surfaces on Raiden IV, and this time you bet it’s sweeter. Much sweeter.
Here’s what’s said to be i the Xbox 360 port:
- New Xbox 360 mode – challenges may be readjusted for home users plus two completely new stages (upping the count to eight in all). This is an addition to the Arcade mode that is made to be a faithful port of the original.
- Replay saves
- World Ranking mode – get to upload replays and check out how you fare among the best players all over the globe. Ability to download other replays too is available.
However, despite all that exciting news, we are left wondering if the announcement last year from UFO Interactive that Raiden IV is coming to the U.S. still stands today. All we’ve heard now is that it will be shipped to Japanese stores September of this year, for Â¥ 7140 (about US$ 66), but no word on North American release dates, or a plan at least.
Just keep checking back here for more updates. We’ll be sure to put it up for your information as soon as we receive more.
