Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk coming to Wii this September
Rumors about futuristic aerial combat PS2 game Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk being ported to the Nintendo Wii began last June. Development studio Kando Games, however, has yet to confirm nor deny these reports.
Quite interestingly, online gaming site Worth Playing now reports that Rebel Raiders Wii is indeed in the works and will be released on September 18.
The background story of Rebel Raiders takes place in the future when the human race has finally conquered the whole Solar System. The “states” gathered together and formed the World Nations Union which eventually became tyrannical. A band of rebels then grouped together and decided to put an end to its reign.
If you enjoy being challenged, then you will sure have fun with this one because the opening stage puts players at once at a disadvantage. The rebels have retreated to the Bounty Base and the World Nations Union is preparing a full scale attack to ultimately crush the rebellion.
We’re still waiting for an official announcement from Kando Games but in the mean time, here are some features for Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk provided by the said website:
- 15 Fighter Planes equipped with powerful weapons that generate spectacular explosions!
- Ultra simplified piloting and exaggerated flight speed
- 16 unique missions
- Futuristic environments
- Easy to learn, captivating and hard to put down
