Registration for Guitar Hero III Wii replacement disc (U.S. only)
Activision is soon to provide Nintendo Wii owners with a replacement disc for the dysfunctional Nintendo Wii copies of the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. As a matter of fact, an online registration for U.S. gamers has just been started.
While there’s still no concrete release date for the new discs, it’s good to know that Activision has heard the pleas of the gamers and is actually doing something about it. The full story after the jump!
Activision has updated its online customer support page to accommodate Nintendo Wii owners who are having problems with the sound output of their Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock copies (also on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC).
To sum up the previous developments regarding this, many people started complaining that the Wii version of GH III is only capable of producing mono sound.
Despite the promise that a solution will soon be offered, Activision was still sued by some gamers. According to the company, its developers are now working with Nintendo to ensure an improved audio experience in future versions of the game. Here’s part of Activision’s reminders for gamers residing in the U.S.:
Customers based in North America wanting to pre-register for a free replacement disc can call (866) 780-8286 from 8:00am-8:00pm EST, Monday-Friday, and we will notify you once the replacement discs are available. We thank all of our customers for their support and patience.
