Resistance 2 confirmed: 8-man co-op, 60 multiplayer, Fall 2008 release

No more speculations and no more rumors, Resistance 2 has finally been confirmed for the PlayStation 3 and it’s bigger than ever. The latest issue of GameInformer gives us the details for the highly anticipated sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man.
According to GameInformer, Resistance 2 is going to be bigger than the first one, supporting up to eight players in online campaign mode (two for offline campaign mode) and up to 60 players in multiplayer mode.
Visuals are also getting a major upgrade with new lighting, shaders, and compilers. Resistance 2 will also be able to show more enemies on screen and with better AI too. Enemies will be smarter and more cunning in this game.
Resistance 2 will follow the story of Hale, who was shot down in Iceland and escapes to the US. All in all, the sequel sounds more epic than the first game. Check out the latest issue of GameInformer for the complete feature.
