Sony and Insomniac have finally unwrapped the… er, wrapper for their PS3 FPS bloodfest, Resistance: Fall of Man. This is the art that will grace the front of the game’s protective case, just as the blood from a thousand bleeding Chimera-mutated freaks shall grace the battlefields of Britain when you finally get the chance to open a can of whoop-a** on them as US Army Sgt. Nathan Hale.
Thankfully, this isn’t a repeat of the entire Sonic box art debacle a couple of days ago. Not if IGN has the image, anyway. Insomniac has packed Resistance full of impressive graphics, immersive sound effects, sneaky and sophisticated AI, and – yes, oh yes! – an assortment of specialized and exotic weapons, all of them locked, loaded, and smoking three bags full. All of that, everything we’ve previewed before in our past coverage, neatly wrapped by the artwork you see above. So admire the skull of the dead Chimera soldier you see there: you’ll be seeing more of them when you load up Resistance into your PS3s.
