So how are we doing this weekend? Still sober? Well, here’s something to make your weekend that much more exciting. The PS3 community had a good haul of updates for the past couple days. We’ve got some highs – and potentially some lows too – so let’s jump in, shall we?

Going far and wide:

  • Yes, Sony came, saw, and conquered the hardcore with the PS3. But what of other markets, more specifically the casual? I mean, we can’t just live by SingStar and Flower, right? Link.
  • 3D movies on your PS3? Sure! Just as long as your TV can handle it, you’ll soon be able to watch 1080p 3D HD movies right from your PS3! Link.
  • So. Do you really want to see a Zone of the Enders 3? Hideo Kojima is listening! Link.
  • Heads up: “electrifying” announcement for Uncharted 2 and inFamous on April 27, Monday! Link.
  • Rumors rumors rumors: PS3 price cut on E3? Link.

Getting your game on:

  • Uncharted 2 updates:
    • Release date confirmed: September 2009. Link.
    • No need to play the first Uncharted for story elements in Among Thieves. The sequel can stand alone for itself. Link.
    • Unsurprisingly, there will be no multiplayer in Uncharted 2. Link.
  • Killzone 2 updates:
    • Unfortunately, the Steel and Titanium pack does have a price. Ohwell. Link.
    • Make sure you guys get the 1.24 patch though! It’s required for next week’s DLC. The patch is now available, in case you haven’t downloaded it yet. Link.
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum gets some PS3-exclusive DLC, and it lets you play as Joker – ya, srsly! Link.
  • Star Ocean: The Last Hope… hopefully getting a PS3 version, finally? Link.
  • Final Fantasy XIII is in its last stretch. Check out all the improvements Square Enix has planned for the final version of the game. Link.

See you guys next week!
