More promising news in the land of PS3 homebrew. A hacker known as StreetSkaterFU has managed to partially dump the RAM on a retail PS3 machine, something that could eventually lead to encryption key breaking and the like.

So far, there have been no news of any further progress, but this is a promising step towards opening the PS3 more fully to homebrew. Analysis is still being conducted on the dumps, but we’ll be sure to report on any further developments.
