Risen Picks up the WoW’s First Corrupted Ashbringer
They’ve done it again. You either have to curse Risen’s luck or praise the fact that they’ve gotten so far in the game to have one drop.
A little over a week ago, the Risen guild‘s leader Failure was the first person to ever have a fully formed Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian in his hands. It was a world first for WoW from one of the most progressive guilds in the game. This week, the intrepid band of adventurers hit another world first, picking up the very first drop of the Corrupted Ashbringer, the greatsword of Highlord Mograine who was the former leader of the Scarlet Crusade.
This sword is not only an important piece of Warcraft lore, but is directly connected to the expansion. Equipping the sword will allow you to walk into Scarlet Monastery and interact with the soldiers there, and talking to Inquisitor Fairbanks in the back room of the Monastery will give you new information as to one of Mograine’s sons, who lives in Outland and can apparently cleanse the Corrupted Ashrbinger and return the sword to its former glory.
Once again, congratulations are in order for the Risen guild for the sweet loot and their warrior class leader Axel who is now the first ever to own this epic sword.
