Rockstar denies rumors of new 360 exclusive GTA IV DLC

Grand Theft Auto IV by Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive - Image 1Take-Two Interactive CEO Ben Feder’s mention of “additional episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV on Xbox 360″ during the fourth fiscal quarter results conference call sparked rumors of more DLC for GTA IV, but Rockstar quickly denied any new content.  More on this at the full article.

Rockstar logo - Image 1Following Take-Two Interactive‘s financial report for the end of fiscal year 2007, Rockstar Games wanted to clarify that the episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3) set to appear on the Xbox 360 in 2009 as mentioned during the conference call isn’t something new.

Take-Two CEO Ben Feder stated that “In fiscal 2009, we’ll also be offering additional episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV on Xbox 360″ during the conference, but Rockstar told Next-Gen that said downloadable content is the second one out of the US$ 50 million deal publisher Take-Two and platform holder Microsoft signed.

Due to the delay of GTA IV‘s release from October 2007 to early 2008, it’s reasonable to think the second piece of DLC can also be moved to 2009. Rockstar was at least able to confirm that only the first batch of bonus content will be available this year following the much anticipated title’s launch.
