Rumor: Mastiff bringing new tactics game to PSP?

Word has it that Mastiff is in the process of bringing a new tactical RPG to the PlayStation Portable. The game listing was spotted on Gamefly, but there’s hardly any details on this rumored game. A quick review of the Mastiff website also doesn’t mention anything about it. Check out the full article for some unfounded speculation!

Word has it that Mastiff is in the process of bringing a new tactical RPG to the PlayStation Portable. The game listing was spotted on Gamefly, but there’s hardly any details on this rumored game. A quick review of the Mastiff website also doesn’t mention anything about it.

NIS already has an American arm, so it’s unlikely that Mastiff will be publishing a game from them again. Siliconera mentions Vantage Master Portable as a possibility since Mastiff already worked with Nihon Falcom for Gurumin‘s US release.

Another possibility is that the game is a brand-new IP. New IP or not, though, a new tactics game is a new tactics game, and I would gladly forgo several days’ worth of food for some tactical RPG goodness. Another thing to look forward to this year, provided the rumor turns out to be true.
